4 Lies About Female Fitness

When it comes to health and fitness, women have become the principle target for companies trying to sell their useless products around female fitness. And what's worse, we often buy into it! As women, we are generally more concerned with our outward appearance, which makes us even more susceptible.

We are constantly bombarded with information about how to achieve our dream bodies. But the reality is, most of this information is lies.

Complete and utter bullshit.

Here's a few of the most common myths we hear, explained, and debunked.

1) Yoga Will Get You A Hot Body​

I'm afraid it won't.

Women who look good in yoga pants don't do yoga.

It may improve your posture and flexibility, but it will not transform your body shape or increase your general fitness and health.

Studies have shown that yoga is the metabolic equivalent to taking a walk, at a 2mph pace.

Sure, its better than nothing, and its a decent activity, but it will not results in fat loss or any form of body recomposition.

Plus going for a walk is free and doesn't involve squeezing your ass into a leotard.

2) You Need To Detox.

Detoxing has become a huge fad in the last few years, with many celebrities touting the benefits.

It involves flushing out toxins and cleansing your body by starving yourself and drinking stupid concoctions.

But guess what? Your liver, kidneys and lymphatic system do a fantastic job of clearing out day to day toxins.

You may lose a few pounds following a detox, but as with all fad diets, it's predominately water and a bit of muscle tissue. And anyone who understand the importance of muscle tissue when it comes to reshaping your body will tell you how counter productive this is.

Let your body do its job.

Its pretty damn good at it.

3) Jogging Is Necessary To Loose Weight.

This is perhaps the biggest lie women are told.

I get annoyed on a daily basis when i see women jogging as part of their efforts to lose weight.

There is a better way, and it doesn't involve injuring yourself and wasting muscle tissue because you feel like you have to run 10km a day to get a hot body.

4) Juicing is Heathy.

You need to a buy a juicer and drink 12 gallons of fruit juice a day.


The problem with juicing your fruit, Is that you get all of the sugar, but without any of the fibre and other health benefits.

One of the easiest things you can do to aid your weight loss efforts is to avoid drinking your calories. Especially when those calories are high in fast digesting sugar. A seemingly healthy drink, actually contributes hugely to weight gain, without people even realising it.

Eat your fruit. Don't drink it.

There you have it!
